In the spirit of St. Lucia and St. Peter, please bring a non-perishable food item with you that evening or any time before December 14 to donate to our Christmas families. Don't forget to sign up on the poster!!

SAVE THE DATE - Mark Sunday, January 21, 2018 on your calendar and plan to attend an "Up The Creek" jazz band concert, under the direction of our own George Pendill, at First Presbyterian Church, 4:00 p.m.

The Meijer Simply Give campaign is currently sponsoring our pantries. As always, only donations made at the Beckley Road store will be awarded to the Neighborhood Pantries. The first $2,000 of any funds collected goes toward purchasing baby food and baby supplies (North East Pantry). After that, each of the six pantries shares equally in the amount above $2,000. The last campaign for us (August-September) was not successful. The cards now seem to be harder to locate in the stores as compared to years past. You may have to ask a cashier for them or we do have cards available at the pantry.  Meijer donates $10 to match your $10 donation but oDECEMBER 8 and 9, Meijer will donate $20 for every $10 card purchased.

Christmas Families Food Items - Thanks for taking names for presents for the people in the 26 adopted families.  In addition to presents we try to provide some stable non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, cereal, soup, and etc.    So if able and willing please bring food and put in the blue baskets in the vestibules.  If anyone has questions or would like to help deliver to the families on Sat. Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. - noon please see Linn Kracht.  Thanks for bringing some ‘merry’ into the Christmas families.
