CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – A meeting of the congregation of St. Peter Lutheran Church will be held on Sunday, November 18, immediately following the 9:30 a.m. worship service. The agenda includes approval of the 2019 budget and election of Council members. Please make every effort to attend,

POINSETTIAS - Order forms for poinsettias to adorn the sanctuary on Christmas Eve are in this week's bulletin. Please have your orders to the church office no later than December 5. Please make checks payable to St. Peter.

S,P,E,K, SPEAKS - If you take a fish oil supplement, look for ones made from wild caught Alaskan Pollack, Walleye, and Pacific Whiting. Avoid the heavily marketed "red" capsules made from krill. They are not "better" for you, and they certainly are not good for the ocean species that rely on them. Although krill are tiny crustaceans that exist near the bottom of the food chain, they are the primary food source for creatures all the way up to the largest mammal on earth—the blue whale. Antarctica's blue whales eat krill as their main food source, and each whale consumes more than 1,000 pounds of krill in a single mouthful. Krill are plentiful, but they are not essential to human health. They are, however, essential for baleen and blue whales, penguins, seals, and many, many species of fish.

CROP HUNGER WALK—We had another successful CROP Walk this year with our donations totaling $2,395.00. Thank you to those who collected donations, those who donated and those who prayed for a successful event. A special shout out to Jamie Brown who collected $1,300 of our totals!

NEW MEMBER SUNDAY – On Sunday, December 2nd, we will welcome new members to St. Peter Lutheran Church. So, why church membership? First, know that we welcome anyone to attend and participate in our faith community regardless of membership. But it is important to point out that when you agree to be a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church it is an affirmation of the partnership we share as people of faith who share and grow together. Being a member simply indicates that you have a stake in the mission and future of our congregation. Sharing together in mission, we make God's kingdom visible in this world. We'd love you join us on this journey of discovery and outreach! Call the Church Office or connect with Pr. Jennifer to let us know you're interested in learning more about becoming a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
