KAMBLY KREW - Kambly Krew volunteers are needed TODAY from 2-3 p.m. at Kambly Living Center, 1003 N. Ave. We are going to do a craft project and physical activities. Please consider giving an hour of your time to socialize with our Kambly friends. If you have any questions, see Jackie Luke.

2020 PLAN FOR GIVING – How is God calling you to serve this year? Jesus came to serve. Followers of Christ also serve in their families, communities, workplaces, and the church. The Holy Spirit has given each person gifts to be used for the common good. Please take a few moments to consider the Time & Talents form that details the many ways members of St. Peter Lutheran engage in the mission and ministry of this church. You can fill out the form in one of three ways:

1. You can print out the file that was emailed last week, fill it in and return it to the Church and leave it in the "Stewardship Box" in the Narthex, just outside the Sanctuary doors.

2. If you do not have a printer, there are forms available in the Narthex at church.

3. New this year! You can click on the provided link https://forms.gle/QNy54muhH4qoJFETA and fill out the form on line! This is a very convenient way to fill out the form from the convenience of you own computer! This is the preferred method as the link has been set up to populate a data base online, saving us from having to do the listings manually.

Please consider how God is calling you to serve.

2019 THANKSGIVING BASKETS PROJECT - St. Peter has chosen to help numerous families for Thanksgiving this year. The Outreach Committee invites you to generously donate funds or the following items: cans of green beans or corn, cranberry sauce, jello mix, 5 lb. bag of potatoes, box stuffing, brown gravy, 1 lb tub of margarine, 1 lb. tub of cool whip, or 12 packs of dinner rolls. Please SIGNUP on the chart in the narthex for the food item(s) you'd like to donate. Several other items will be purchased with monetary donations and funds donated from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Meijer. Pickup and delivery of the baskets will be Sat. Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. – noon. Please have all items to the church by Wed. Nov. 20. If you have questions, might be able to deliver on the 23rd, or want to donate money to the project contact Linn Kracht. Thanks in advance for your support.

MIDWEEK ADVENT WORSHIP – Because God wishes to be in close relationship with us, let's use this Advent, this new year of the church, to examine the four main themes of Advent... hope, peace, joy, and love. When we focus on these concepts, we see that they can be life-giving at a time when the busyness of the holidays pull us in every direction. Please join us for our mid-week Advent worship on Tuesday's at 6PM beginning Tuesday, November 26th. We will share a time of prayer and reflection together focusing on the promises of Advent as we wait for the coming of the Christ child.

THE GREAT INDOOR HALLOWEEN CANDY PARADE - Many thanks to everyone who contributed to our Halloween Candy Parade. We had 214 trick or treaters, and served many more with cider and donuts. It was a smashing success!!

ELCA WORLD HUNGER SMALL BOTTLE FUND RAISER - The Outreach Committee would like to thank anyone who took the opportunity to participate in the ELCA World Hunger fund raiser the past few weeks. If you have not returned your 'small bottle' please do so in the next week or so. Drop it off in the office or in the basket by the sanctuary. Thanks for your generosity. Until all are fed!!!!

CORRECTION!!! ECUMENCIAL THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE - The joint Episcopal-ELCA Thanksgiving Eve service will be held Wednesday, November 27, at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, with a pie social following in the social hall. (St. Peter bakers: we are asked to contribute several pies for fellowship: let the church office know if you can bake an extra!)

A VERY BIG THANK YOU! - Dear friends, Truly this was a most memorable morning for us at St. Peter. We are still reminiscing and reading the many kind thoughts that folks wrote in the book. The reception foods were delicious and many stayed afterwards to enjoy them. Thanks, Jackie, Jan and Carole for helping Tami with the lovely reception. The cake, the fruits, the cheese and Tami's special cookies were appreciated by so many. Jan, the lovely shawl for both of us is indeed a work of art; we will cherish it with so many names on it. Tami Reichkitzer, thank you for the towel that we can hang in many places, due to your crocheting. Pastor Cheri, every time that we have seen each other, you have given us a loaf of your special bread; it was hard to stop eating the fall spice bread once we cut the first slice! How nice to have your niece Kristine come to visit on this special day. Bill, during the past week you must have been constantly busy. Your sermon was so thoughtful and so were your comments about Bob and me. it was great to have our son Steve with us; he remembers working with George on music. He played the trumpet for Christmas and Easter services when he was in high school. How grand it was to have so many friends come up to the microphone and share memories. A week ago we knew there would be a coffee hour, but this was surely above all expectations! Our love, Ellie and Bob
