Faith and Fortitude with Immaculee Ilibagiza The 31th Annual Community Prayer Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Kellogg Arena. The program begins promptly at 7:25 am and ends by 9:00 am. Tickets are $15 each and include a cereal breakfast. This year’s them is Faith and Fortitude, with Immaculee Ilibagiza. Immaculee is a survivor of the 1991 Rwandan genocide, which claimed the lives of most of her family and friends. She is regarded as one of the world's leading speakers on peace, faith, and forgiveness. Immaculee's life was transformed dramatically hen she and seven other women spent 91 days huddled silently together in the cramped bathroom of a local pastor's house. She credits her salvage mostly to prayer and to a set of rosary beads given to her by her father prior to going into hiding. She found solace in prayer and eventually found it possible and imperative to forgive her tormentors and her family's murderers. Immaculee's first book, Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust was released in March of 2006. Left to Tell quickly became a New York Times Best Seller and has been translated into fifteen languages worldwide. Please call 269-969-2120 for more information.
