Sunday, September 23, 3 pm - 2012 Crop Hunger Walk at KCC
The CROP Hunger Walk is one small way that locally we can stand up with millions of others around the globe in fighting the problem of hunger. The city of Battle Creek has been participating in this Church World Service (CWS) hunger project for over 30 years and has raised over 1 million dollars. The date for this year’s CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. Registration is at 2 p.m. and the walk begins at 3 p.m. at Kellogg Community College.
St. Peter members are asked to participate again this year. Lets include this in our 50th Anniversary celebration by having 50 of us participate and have a monetary goal of $50 per person for a total of $2,500. In an effort to have 50 participants there will be an opportunity for those who can’t walk the distance to ‘rock’ at the church the same day after the worship service. Rockers will be asked to take a pledge sheet just like walkers. Between rockers and walkers we will have 50 participants! Members will be able to pick up a pledge sheet at the church beginning the middle of August. Please ask family, friends, and church members to support you with a monetary donation.
Any questions contact Linn Kracht. Thanks in advance for your generous support. Sunday, 23 September 2012, 03:00pm
